Why you should join: Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility. Slow movements and deep breathing increase blood flow and warm up muscles, while holding a pose can build strength. According to Harvard Medical School, breathing exercises and meditation help calm the mind, ease anxiety, reduce the affects of PTSD, helps with depression, and improves your mood. When you do Yoga, your brain cells develop new connections, and changes occur in brain structure as well as function, resulting in improved cognitive skills, such as learning and memory. All ages are welcome (young children will be excused early) extra yoga mats available. wear comfy clothes.
